VIBE Home Makeover and Reno Improvements

The Tampa Bay area’s inaugural VIBE Home Makeovers provide designer home renovations to recipient families in need.

In our first year, five families will receive home makeovers or renovations.

Four recipients will receive the Select Edition, modest upgrades, with six or more major improvements and a selection of finishing touches.

One recipient will receive the Flagship Edition renovation, an extensive interior and exterior transformation with 18 or more major upgrades and an array of home décor finishing touches. 

The improvements are completed in the Spring of 2027, during multiple six-day windows for the Select Series, and during a 12-day window for the Flagship Renovation.

The improvements that we include are based on multiple factors: the recipient’s home site and age of home, existing floor plan, recent improvements, family circumstances and financial challenges, the household’s needs, and availability of products from our VIBE partners. There are a plethora of improvement options that may be available for the recipient families.

ALL VIBE PROJECTS. All recipients receive three major upgrades under our Core Improvements category whether they are part of the Select Makeover Series or the Flagship Renovation. These three Core Improvements include: complete exterior painting (including base, trim, and doors), extensive landscaping and gardening (including planting of greenery), and custom interior painting (all or most the rooms and trim). Certainly, these improvements by themselves are substantial, but they are just the foundation of each home makeover.

SELECT MAKEOVERS: Select Makeover recipients receive a minimum of an additional three upgrades from a long list, including new furniture, mattresses and bedding, major appliances, electronics and computers, closets and storage, kitchen cabinets and countertop refresh, bathroom upgrades, and flooring. Depending on multiple factors, they may even qualify for new windows, solar technology, and AC and heating.

Other Select Makeover options may include lighting and ceiling fans, smart home features and security, window treatments, wood accent wall, kitchen appliances, and water purification system.

Additional exterior options include veneer or siding, deck or pergola, gutters and protection, pavers, whole house generator, outdoor furniture, outdoor shed, lawn care equipment, and fencing.

FLAGSHIP RENOVATION. The Flagship Reno recipient receives 18 or more major improvements including the exterior painting, landscaping and gardening, interior painting, and a selection of others as described above. These upgrades may include new windows, solar technology, AC and heating, flooring, kitchen cabinets (refacing or replacement), countertops, bathroom upgrades, closets and storage, major appliances, electronics and computers, home furniture, mattresses and bedding.

Other Flagship Series options may include exterior and interior lighting, ceiling fans, smart home technology, security system, window treatments, wood accent wall, small appliances, and water purification system.

Additional exterior options include veneer or siding, deck or pergola, gutters and

protection, pavers, whole house generator, garage upgrade, outdoor furniture, therapeutic spa, outdoor shed, lawn care equipment, fencing, and storm shutters.

Modest home repairs may include roofing, electrical, plumbing, and special needs or requests.

ALL VIBE PROJECTS. Every recipient will receive an array of Finishing Touches to complete the designer makeovers and renovations which may include artwork, décor, mirrors, shelving, organization, lamps, clocks, vases, plants, rugs, linens, pillows, and  homeowner’s treasures. 

The VIBE Home Makeover Select Edition improvements are expected to be valued at $30,000 or more for each home, for a total community impact of $120,000 for the four-home series. The Flagship Renovation is expected to be valued at more than $180,000 for the complete exterior and interior transformation. Together, our partners will contribute more than $300,000 in community impact.

Funding for VIBE Home Makeovers is provided by project partners, who contribute financial resources, home-related products, professional installation, and employee volunteer support.
